Portable purging fan
Activair portable purging fans are designed to exhaust fumes and smoke from confined spaces, and to deliver high volumes of fresh air to workers. They are supplied with 6m (19ft.) of heavy-duty flexible ducting, which allows them to supply or extract air from enclosed spaces. Activair purging fans are powerful air movers that are suitable for most commercial and industrial applications:-

Activair portable purging fans have heavy-duty steel casings, coated in scratch and corrosion resistant epoxy paint, and zinc plated finger guards and carrying handles.The fan motors are lightweight, maintenance free and totally enclosed, making them suitable for use in dusty environments.
Activair purging fans are supplied pre-wired with a 3m scuff resistant lead and shatterproof 13A UK plug.
Each purging fan is supplied with a fire resistant 6m (19ft.) flexible duct, which compresses to less than 75cm for transportation. The ducts are manufactured from a tough, silver grey coloured fabric comprising of a PVC coating bonded to a tightly woven glass cloth, supported by an encapsulated high tensile steel wire helix. They are very durable and flexible, and will stand repeated flexing without damage or kinking.

Supply voltage
Activair purging fans are designed for 220 – 240V 50Hz single phase electricity supplies. They are suitable for use in the UK, most of Europe and the Middle East. They are not suitable for use in the USA.Deciding what size purging fan is needed
The rate of ventilation for an area is expressed in 'air changes per hour', and depends of the activity being undertaken. This is multiplied by the volume of the area to find the airflow required.One year guarantee
Activair purging fans are manufactured in the UK to the highest standards, and we are confident they are totally reliable. However, in the unlikely event a fault may occur, they are covered by a 1 year return to base parts and labour guarantee.Important
Our portable purging fans are not waterproof, and must not be used outdoors without protection from rainfall. We recommend whenever one is used in the vicinity of water, it is connected to the electricity supply via an RCD.
These fans are not approved for use where explosive or flammable vapours are present.
