![]() ![]() ![]() High temperature industrial fan heaters![]() Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters are designed for continuous operation at up to 70C, and are intended for use in industrial drying, curing and space heating applications.
They are supplied with a dual purpose stand/bracket, which allows them to be wall mounted or stood on the floor. Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters are manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel, (casing - SS2320, grilles and floor stand - SS2333). They are protected to IP44, and are approved for use in damp environments. Features of Activair high temperature industrial fan heatersActivair high temperature fan heaters are available in 6kW and 9kW versions for use with 400V3N phase electrical supplies. Activair high temperature industrial heaters have been designed to provide years of trouble free operation:
Fan motors - maintenance free and totally enclosed High temperature industrial fan heaters - controlsActivair high temperature industrial fan heaters are completely self contained, each heater contains: Capillary thermostat - adjustable between 0 and 70C ![]() An external 0-70C thermostat (RTH) is available separately, it is intended for use when the heater is wall mounted out of reach. Protected to IP44 and measuring 140 x 175 x 100mm, it overrides the built in thermostat. The RTH external thermostat MUST be installed in the same room as the heater it controls.
Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters - documents
Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters - approvalsActivair high temperature industrial fan heaters have been tested for safety in accordance with the LVD directive, and for electro-magnetic interference in accordance with the EMC directive as follows:
Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters are CE marked. Frequently asked questionsCan these heaters be used in wet rooms? The heaters are rated to IP44, meaning they are protected from from splashing water coming from any direction making them suitable for areas with exposure to moderate moisture for example bathrooms and sheltered outdoor areas. They must not be used in high moisture zones, or where jets of water are present, for example sauna's, wash down rooms, laundries, etc. Can I install the RTH external control in another room? No, the RTH must be mounted in the same room as the heater it controls. How do I control the heater from another room? You will need a thermostat with a remote sensor, capable of measuring up to a maximum of 70C. It will also need to be rated to the full phase current of the heater. With reference to the wiring wiagram it should replace the dotted box marked 'External control'. Do you supply such a thermostat? We do not. Every customer's requirements are different, some want devices with timers, digital displays, or to be suitable for building into control panels. So we leave to the customer to source a device that meets their needs. Can I control the heater remotely simply by switching the supply? No, the fan needs to run continuously. Switching the supply will disconnect the supply to the fan, causing the protective over heat cut out to operate. You need a remote thermostat as described above. How long will it take for the room to reach the required temperature? That depends on the heatloss of the room being heated and the air changes at the required final temperature. It is the responsibility of the system designer or specifier to make sure the heater(s) selected have a big enough output. Activair high temperature industrial fan heaters - 1 year guaranteeActivair high temperature industrial fan heaters are manufactured to the highest standards, and we are confident that they are totally reliable. However, in the unlikely event a fault may occur, they have a full 1 year return to base parts and labour guarantee. Choosing the correct size of heater
Before selecting a fan heater it is important to carry out a heatloss calculation to determine the size required. See heater size calculations for further details, or use our on line calculator. Electricity supply requirements for Activair high temperature industrial fan heatersActivair high temperature fan heaters are designed for 400V 3 phase and neutral 50Hz electricity supplies. They are suitable for use in the UK, most of Europe, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, but not the United States.
