Portable heaters - 3phase 400V

Available with 5Kw, 9Kw and 15Kw outputs, Activair portable heaters plug into standard three phase electric sockets (BS EN 60309) to provide immediate warmth. They are reliable, heavy duty electrical heaters, designed for space heating in factories, workshops, warehouses, etc.

Protected to IP X4 (splash proof) Activair portable heaters are suitable for use in damp, humid or wet environments such as laundries, and are approved for use indoors on building sites.

Activair portable heaters are compact, and lightweight, the carrying handles allow them to be easily moved and can also act as wall brackets for permanent installation.

Activair trouble free portable heaters

Activair portable heaters have been designed to provide years of trouble free operation:

Casing and stands - are manufactured from galvanised steel, coated with a corrosion resistant paint
Fan motors - are maintenance free, totally enclosed and sealed for life
Elements -  are long life encapsulated stainless steel tubular elements

Activair portable heaters don't need regular maintenance. However, if they are used in very dusty environments,  we recommend the elements and fan are occasionally vacuumed or wiped to remove any heavy build up of dust.

Activair portable heaters are completely self contained, and are ready to use straight from the box. Built into each portable heater are a:

Accurate capillary thermostat - adjustable between 0 and 35 C
User control - full heat, half heat, and fan only (for summer cooling)
Fan control - continuous or intermittent operation

Activair portable heaters have been tested for safety in accordance with the LVD directive, for electro-magnetic interference in accordance with the EMC directive, and are CE marked.

Activair portable heaters are manufactured to the highest standards, and we are confident that they are totally reliable. However, in the unlikely event a fault may occur, they have a full 1 year return to base parts and labour guarantee.

Choosing the correct portable heaters

Activair portable fan heaters are designed for space heating and are fitted with powerful fans to rapidly circulate warm air and raise the temperature of a room. As a result they have relatively low outlet temperatures, making them unsuitable for spot heating individuals or machinery.

Electricity supply requirements for Activair portable heaters

Activair portable heaters are designed for 400V 3 phase 50Hz supplies, and are suitable for use in the UK, most of Europe, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Activair portable heaters are supplied with 2m power cables terminated with a 16A (BX5, BX9) or 32A (BX15) 5 pin three phase plug (BS EN 60309). See frequently asked questions for details.

Permanent installation of Activair portable heaters

Activair portable heaters can be permanently fixed to a wall. In such cases they must be at least 1800mm above floor level and connected to the electricity supply by an all pole switch.

Permanent installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations.
