Radiant infra-red heater index
Wall mounted
ceramic radiant heaters are designed for heating
small areas within commercial and industrial buildings such as shops, veterinary surgeries, studios, security
offices, etc.
Wall mounted radiant heaters heat people and objects but not the
surrounding air. Making them ideal for small to medium sized rooms and buildings
with poor insulation, open doors etc. where
warm air heating would be uneconomic.
Activair wall mounted radiant heaters are fitted with ceramic infrared emitters which unlike halogen tubes don't produce an uncomfortable glare making them suitable for low ceilings.
Wall mounted
quartz halogen infra red heaters produce short wave infra-red rays and are frequently installed in buildings that are too difficult or expensive to heat using conventional warm air systems.
They are particularly suited to large buildings that have high ceilings, are poorly insulated, or very drafty, such as workshops, warehouses, loading bays, churches, animal houses, factories, aircraft hangars, gymnasiums etc.
They can also be used outdoors under waterproof covers in street cafes, beer gardens, golf driving ranges etc.
A heavy duty 230V portable radiant
heater, designed for use in commercial and industrial buildings such as garages, factories,
warehouses, warehouses, etc. It plugs into a standard 13A UK socket for instant warmth.
Also available as a 2Kw 110V portable radiant heater for use on construction sites. Its long wave
infrared output is perfect for drying paint and plaster, as well as keeping
workers warm.
Both models have a safety cut-out which turn the heater off, if it is knocked over or falls onto its face.
Activair electric overhead infra-red radiant heaters are designed for total or supplementary heating, and are suitable for use in a
wide range of commercial buildings. They can be attached directly to the ceiling, or suspended from steel wires, chains or threaded rods.
They are easy to install, safe, and maintenance free. In buildings with high ceilings or that are used on an irregular basis they can
reduce heating costs by up to 25% compared to convector heaters.
The BTQ3 mobile infra-red heater is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre with built-in wheels and a large carrying handle.
Designed for 230V operation it is supplied with a 3 metre power cable and standard 13A UK plug.
Twin 1400w short wave infra-red tubes provide instant heat at the flick of a switch, wherever it is required.
Weatherproof infra-red radiant heaters for use outside or inside in damp or wet area's, such as glasshouses.
Corrosion resistant construction with heavy duty stainless steel elements which will never shatter and are unaffected by vibration or water spray.
Available in 500, 1000, 1500, 2000w outputs for 230V operation. For wall mounting or suspension from steel wire or chains.
Electric ceramic infra red heating does not produce fumes,
odours or water. It has no moving parts and unlike gas infra red heating doesn't
require regular servicing to maintain its efficiency. It is easily controlled
using manual switches, timeswitches or passive infra red detectors (PIR), and is
quick and cost effective to install.
Electrical radiant heating is gaining popularity for heating
industrial premises because it has many advantages over traditional warm air
heating, not least that it can reduce heating costs considerably
